A 2 day programme The Effective Manager and Leader Programme will enable participants to understand the management skills and competencies within their role and responsibilities. They will have a greater appreciation of their own strengths and potential and areas they want to develop. Participants will develop skills in managing and influencing, motivating and leading. The workshop is relevant for managers of a function or projects as well as those with direct reportees. Objectives By the end of the Effective Manager and Leader Programme participants will be able to: - Explain the role and responsibilities of a Manager
Explain how processes and functions inter-relate in the organisational structure Brainstorm the key attributes and skills required by a Manager and have been introduced to the skills to be covered throughout the programme Recognise different leadership styles and adopt styles appropriate to their own situations to plan and manage work activities to meet the objectives of the organsation and the needs of customers Motivate themselves and their team members to handle people and situations in a more positive manner Understand the stages of team development, recognise the maturity of teams in which they are involved and develop strategies for becoming a more effective team member Understand the need for effective team communication and the communications processes within the organisation
