First Group plc - UK Bus Division First UK Bus needed their Supervisors and Managers to improve their leadership and management skills. We designed programmes at different levels specifically tailored to meet the needs of the business. The courses lasted several months during a year and delegates had the opportunity to put the learning into practice in the workplace and report back their findings. The results exceeded expectations - more than 1,200 managers achieved an accredited vocational management qualification, as well as completing a project identifying tangible benefits to the business. Business performance and staff retention also improved as a result. Subsequently, we partnered with First UK Bus to develop and roll out a performance management system in order to ensure that good management practice continued in the business. |
